Neon Age is a conceptual double-album inspired by dreams, memories, and potential futures, those that are prominently dark, including the impending potential reality of a hyper-technocracy- essentially the soundtrack to a hypothetical cyberpunk apocalypse. It also has other, deeper meanings. The listener, however, is invited to draw their own conclusions and make their own associations. and thereby construct their own vision of the future.
The songs themselves were built from slowed & altered demo skeletons from the Retronyms program Tabletop, layered with significant added instrumentation, vocal melodies, and the like, producing schizophrenic composite song structures, utilizing non-sequiter, free-association, automatic writing, and other transposed elements of organzied chaos.
"Go to the heart of the machine to understand history's true destruction."
